Functional Art
This functional art is intended to enhance people's everyday experience of their living space. Our goal is to produce items of the highest quality with a distinctive appearance and presence.

Welded Copper & Textured Bronze
The major emphasis of our creative output is on custom lighting fixtures, which are built entirely out of copper and textured bronze in our studio. The metal work is our own development of the Robertson Method, and those familiar with the Robertson Collection will see this influence. A particularly appealing aspect of this method is the hand welding technique, in which the surface texture of the metal and the line quality of forms are determined by the hand and eye of the one working with the torch.

Contemporary Approach
Our creative approach is to consider what is needed for a situation, then to allow a form that has integrity and grace to emerge. The completed work is a contemporary approach to classic design.

Combination of Methods
We use a unique combination of techniques, tools and materials from a variety of professions (metal smithing, sculpture, plumbing, sheet metal, stained glass, auto body), with a special interest for what can be done with welded metal.

Custom Work
We often work with other design professionals and have collaborated on many successful projects throughout the country. Our aim on every piece is to create an enduring statement about the value of arts and crafts in our time.
